call us snobs here at SantaBarbara.com. There's as much to be
loved in a well-crafted draft as there is in a glass of wine. Oddly
enough, however, there's not as much activity in the brewing world as
there is in the fermenting world.
Having said that, the two breweries we do have are excellent and worth checking out. Firestone
Walker Brewing Company Firestone
Walker Brewing Company began brewing barrel fermented ales in 1996.
Their hand-crafted ales have become the Central Coast's most popular tap beer.
The Taproom offers visitors new recipes and classic favorites in an old
world surrounding. It features ale sampling, clothing, Mug Club, special
brew snacks and complete line of Firestone Walker ales with occasional
limited releases. Santa
Barbara Brewery This small brewery produces an impressive line up ranging from lights to darks. They don't have an enormous distribution but it's well worth the visit to their restaurant to sample their various brews in a genuine brew-pub atmosphere (of course, it's still California style).
